Composition
Cefpirome 1 g + water for injection 10 ml
Bioprom is a Cephalosporin antibiotic for parenteral use. It acts bactericidally, preventing cell wall synthesis in bacteria.
Indication
Infection caused by Cefpirome sensitive organism : lower respiratory tract infections (bronchopneumonia and lobar pneumonia); complicated upper (pyelonephritis) and lower urinary tract infections; skin and soft tissue infections (cellulitis, skin abscess and wound infection); infections in neutropenic (except those caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and immunocompromised patients; septicaemia, severe infections in intensive care patients.
