Composition

Each film coated tablet (20 mg) contains : Famotidine 20 mg

Each film coated tablet (40 mg) contains : Famotidine 40 mg

Indication

Short-term treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Treatment of pathological hypersecretory conditions (e.g., Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome, multiple endocrine adenomas). Gastric ulcer.

Recommended Dosage

Duodenal ulcer

Acute therapy : 40 mg once a day at bedtime or 20 mg twice a day. Most patients heal within 4 weeks; there is rarely reason to treat at full dosage for longer than 6 to 8 weeks.

Maintenance therapy : 20 mg once a day at bedtime.

Gastroesophageal Reflux disease (GERD) : 20 mg twice a day for up to 6 weeks.

Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome, multiple endocrine adenomas : 20 mg every 6 hours.
